Nothing new for us in Saga. Universal obsec still on place.

Munitorum manual has new points for suppressor, now 33.

And character protection is updated to no more Bjorn/Murderfang hand holding

Are we sure skyhammers aren't meant to be free? Asking because I honestly didn't think that was an issue but am interested to here why they shouldn't be free

It is odd that dreads dont hide dreads anymore...

Sorry Stormstrikes

Basing this off an Auspex Tactics vid but I think its Stormstrikes are compulsory on Stormravens so are free. Stormfangs are the only other unit that can take them sic but they are not compulsory but are still 0 points for us

I guess I see the angle but I expect them to stay free especially since we are getting rolled into the same codex and its shared wargear.

Also Inceptors were mentioned in the other thread as being mis costed still which I had completely forgotten.

They've now had multiple opportunities to address the fact that our entire army gets Objective Secured (minus Fenrisian Wolves, Cyber Wolves, and Servitors), and still haven't made the change, so it seems pretty clear that it is, indeed, intentional.

Enjoy!

Definitely agreed.

Well, that's disheartening. I was planning on running Bjorn & Murderfang, escorted by two axe/shield ven dreads, as a separate force on the table to wreak havoc on their own. Now the Ven dreads can't even protect my normal characters either.

I guess my TWC went up in value though.

Shameless speculation and wishlisting

2 wound mini marines =

3 wound Wulfen

4 wound TWC

Hook that up to my veins

Where is the 2++ save for Bjorn???

You're not whising hard enough!!!!!!!!

Honestly, all dreads need to get 2+ armor saves IMO. It makes no sense their armor save is worse than TDA.

On the topic of the objective secured for everything, I would love for it to be intentional but GW has missed a bunch of things with their most recent updates for points and FAQs that I would put any stock in this being intentional. We will find out when the Codex release drops if they intend it but right now I wouldn't do this in your friendly games for what it's worth. Not until we get something official from GW saying that this was intended, at least. That being said, I'm not the hobby police so hobby as you want as long as everyone is having fun!

What's to say dreadnoughts aren't going to get wound increases too...

I'm 90% through a pretty sweet Murderfang, but certainly not buying anything till we know more. I want an oldmarine swarm with chainswords literally everywhere so it's pile of (obsolete?) shame painting time, and hope for the best. It's looking like 40k is making everyone's favourite units viable again, if you really want them. It's great.

What's the wording change in character targeting?

Look Out, Sir

Change the first sentence to read:

‘Models cannot target a unit that contains any Character models with a Wounds characteristic of 9 or less with a ranged weapon while that unit is within 3" of any other friendly Vehicle or Monster unit with a Wounds characteristic of 10 or more, or while it is within 3" of any other friendly units that have 3 or more models, unless that Character unit is both visible to the firing model and it is the closest enemy unit to the firing model – the maelstrom of battle makes it difficult to pick out such individuals.’
