I had rather peace loveing teachers. So not much military history lessons and those were rather cut short with "Thats a bad thing that happend."

Would have slept less if there had been interesting things in those classes.

 

But i meant you could find rather good links or other sources like military treatise about such stuff.

And as the GW lore writters tend to be at least a bit history nerds you will find alot of parallels.

All I know is that Konrad got his (admittedly human) insurgency on Macragge handled quite nicely by the Dreadwing.

As an studied historian it pains me when someone had bad history lessons. It's so much fun and full of violence. ;)

The firewing may also have been adept at handling insurrections, they seem to be the prototype specialization for what the AL would eventually been.

Well, if you don't mind collateral damage, the WE will fix your insurgency problem quite thoroughly.

 

 

I think the RG would probably fix it with minimum collateral damage. After the RG decapitate, have the (loyalist) WB run Imperial propaganda along with Iterators throughout the system.

 

The AL could do it of course...but their operations sometimes go overboard, resulting in societal collapse and long-term distrust of the Imperium
