I really enjoyed Elstob and his takes on Guilliman and co. I do like John Banks, but this is just annoying.

 

It's also pretty baffling that THIS is what they choose to do with John Banks. You know, instead of recording recent releases or backlog classics.

Don’t like that they did this at all, but interesting to have it confirmed.

 

More concerning is the fact that I can’t recall buying it, but that’s more about my lackadaisical approach to shopping...

Personally feel they should embrace more then 1 person per book on all their audios. Cast 2-3, i know it costs more and makes production a ball ach but its well worth it.

The last third or quarter of this book is almost entirely non-stop action, which unfortunately is not really my bag

 

The rest is quite decent, though the Agathey and VanLeskus threads were a bit boring to me.

I kinda wish narrators would just read books instead of doing character voices, especially when there's only one person doing a whole novel.

I disagree. If every character is read in the same voice, it becomes more difficult to follow conversations between characters without extra concentration.

I think audio dramas with different voice actors is ideal

 

If not, I prefer an audio book with one narrator who does different tones to identify different characters, rather than overdone voices

It is less than a quarter, but yes, the end of the book is non stop action. I would guess it is to make up for the fact absolutely nothing happens during the rest of the book due to scene setting etc.

By the way, the book apparently mentions a Chaos aircraft known as the Gehenna Gunship. I was wondering if Avenging Son also offers some sort of description or armament of that aircraft.
