Prot
Honestly in my games with Bladeguard (Both White Scars and Ultra), I really don't care for them unless you are getting them up the field and being very aggressive with them, and they need help (Judiciar, etc). I have had them 'back' and acting as holding a position and using the 3 man size to protect characters. They are quite swingy... yes the invuln is nice, but you get hot streaks, and cold streaks which really on a 3 man squad can make them disappear. (everyone has a lot of damage weapons these days, and it's going to get worse.) Also (for me anyway) the Ultra's are character heavy generally speaking. I'm finding I just want more bodies on the table in the form of troops (usually). Filling out the board, shutting off reinforcements is actually a strong theme. The Bladeguard have been fun to play in various games, but again without buffing, they don't really kill a lot and those Volkites don't exactly keep you doing damage while you waddle up the field. tychobi
For ultras aggressors 100%. Not as durable but a serious threat instead. Double tap on the move and fallback and shoot is very good. Plays into ultras overwatch strat as well. They have the Calgar loadout to boot! mel_danes 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/365948-aggressors-vs-bladeguard/page/2/#findComment-5593494 Share on other sites
