General Tullius
Is it ITC-level necessary to model the base wargear on the Dunerider (specifically the Twin Heavy Stubber you can‘t drop)? DanPesci
Usually id expect full WYSIWYG at tournaments. If in doubt check with the organiser of the tournament you are going to. ValourousHeart
Sorry all of these examples are going to be marines. The items that you can get away with not modeling are generally cosmetic additions to the unit. Everyone in the unit is assumed to have them, as opposed to being carried by 1 model. For example grenades on marines. The people that won't allow your marines to use one of the grenades because you only put the pineapple or egg shaped grenade on the model, or neither grenade because you didn't put either, are generally people you don't want to play with anyway. There are some other items that you could likely get away with, when it is the less effective choice. Marine bikes either have a bolt pistol or a chainsword, but not both. You could have the pistol in a holster or in the hand. But you could also identify the ones with pistols as being the ones without chainswords. Sergeants can often keep their pistol and take a CCW, and they can often upgrade both. Having your Sergeant with a holstered pistol, means that you can upgrade the pistol without having to alter the model. Some CCW and power weapons look the same, and could easily be changed out on the list without having to break and repair your model. This is especially easy with sheathed swords. MajorNese
Is it ITC-level necessary to model the base wargear on the Dunerider (specifically the Twin Heavy Stubber you can‘t drop)? You can't drop the two single stubbers either, the entire loadout is fixed. And I'd guess for WYSIWYG it might be okay to put 4 single stubbers on there somewhere, but not putting the appropriate number of stubbers on it would not work. Mechanicus Tech-Support
Perhaps some plasticard added to make it into a turret. Or Re-purpose a spotlight, paint it up like a lense and add some green stuff cabling going into the dunerider to make it seem like it's controlled from the inside. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366054-dunerider-wysiwyg/#findComment-5592480 Share on other sites
Subtle Discord
Yeah, a counts-as doesn't need to be a really overt one-to-one of what you're mimicking; if you can find a way to add a turret, sponson/s, or a pintle-weapon, even if they look automated, then you're good-to-go. Make/find multi-barreled rotary cannon/s of some description and say that they put out the desired number of shots. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366054-dunerider-wysiwyg/#findComment-5592496 Share on other sites
