Apologies if this is the wrong section. A while ago GW said the release date for fury of magnus LE was today. I cannot find it for preordee anywhere. Has the date moved?

The below is where they confirmed the date but I can find nothing.

Oh no.

“ As the siege rages, Magnus has his own agenda – he is looking for the missing piece of his soul and believes that it’s on Terra, inside the Palace. It’s a personal story, focused on Magnus and the Thousand Sons, as well as a cadre of Space Wolves and Salamanders who have appeared as major characters in previous Horus Heresy novels”

Really hope this is not referring to Howl of the Hearthworld.

It probably is, as well as the Sallies that came with Vulkan.

I wouldn't really mind Magnus nuking Howl of the Hearthworld, or sending him back, gift-wrapped, for Russ to find later. At least then that particular pack would be somehow relevant.

Oh no.

I’m a little behind on my Heresy, but could it be Bodvar Bjarki? Graham loves his recurring characters (even when they really have no business being there) and it seems odd to describe Howl of the Hearthworld as major characters in previous novels when, to the best of my knowledge, they’ve only appeared in the one short story. So Magnus can just get inside the Palace?

That (for me) is in the same “bad ideas not 30/40k setting acceptable” space as Knights Errant whizzing around the galaxy with impunity (Star Wars style). Aaaerrhghhh!

Bjarki would have been my assumption as well. Just as you said, he and his pack have been major characters in a full novel, as opposed to a very short story. And even more so, Mcneill really, really does like to reuse his characters.
