I've been having fun with smaller games. I have to say chapter specialty is way more dramatic in these games. Hth themed seem to be cp thirsty. This spearhead list has been brutal, especially if I get first turn. It's shooty enough. I use inheritors of the primarch. I'd also love to see yalls list ideas or criticisms of this. This is tailored for marine dominant meta and so far is undefeated at 5-0.

Spearhead Detachment

Incursion Size

Hq

Lias Issodon

Primaris Lt with Stalker bolt rifle

Elites

Judicar- warlord, tri-fold path, master of ambush, swift and deadly, master crafted executioner blade

Blade guard veterans

Troops

5xintercessors- stalkers, sgt/hammer

Fast attack

Outrider squad

Heavy

Eliminators- 3x las fusils

Eliminators- 3x bolt snipers

Eradicators

If I get first turn, using the judicar and BGvets to redeploy, move, advance and charge....brutal. if even used Lias to deep strike in to give that extra movement if I need to scale terrain or get past stuff. On the 30x44 board my ranged stuff can easily screen out my half of the board. I use the outriders as a react to intercept any fast movers. Who mostly target characters in the tac doctrine. What do yall like about this? Have any ideas for tweaks?

I prefer smaller pointed games. My favorite game sizes in 8th were 750-1250.

Your list seems tough. Especially throwing the Judicar up with the Bladeguard. Basically they cut anything up before it can even swing.

I will say though they often die after I jihad something lol. Murderfang 1 rounded all 4 guys in one game vs my brother Edited by Debauchery101

Since you are also looking for critique, there is one thing that jumps out for me, namely the Las Fusils. Personally, I'd prefer the Bolt Snipers are they are more flexible. One unit will be removed quickly, but two units can really make the zoning happen and force awkward character choices. Plus, because of the sergeant ability and potential MW, they can also be used as soft anti tank as well. Compared to all that, just S8 shots without any major rules just seems naff to me.
