Adeptus Custodes painting advice

Hello there

 

I was wondering on the GW paint guide Duncan did when he applies the Auric Armour Gold to the Custodian Guard was it all over or just the raised bits like a highlight?

I think it's just the raised bits as a highlight. Either that, or he did it all over, then the next stage was just the raised bits.

Thanks I’ve looked into it a bit more and might try dry brushing the Auric Armour Gold on the model seen some great results.

I painted all of my Custodes with a mix of washes and drybrushing. Only the final highlights are done with any sort of extra care and it looks great. If you build the layers slowly you can get some awesome depth to the gold

Thanks for the reply and the information. That’s awesome am definitely trying the dry brushed method.
