Hi guys!

If you like the Horus Heresy Model Masterclass, or like me, you are in love with the seminal Forgeworld renditions of characters like Sevatar, Khârn, Konrad Curze, Vulkan, Mortarion, or HORUS the WARMASTER, you must absolutely watch this! Coming out this Friday!

Awesome!

Super talented guy, looking forward to the interview!

Thank you very much, guys! He explains in painstaking detail the process in painting Ferrus' armor, talks about the Heresy team, explains the role of Bligh, Stutcinskas and Egan...the genesis of their painting style...I think you'll love it!

That was a great interview. I always love it when what we as an audience take from a paintjob is actually what the artist(s) intended.

I was completely unaware how incredibly advanced the ferrus manus paintjob is. Propably since I am not really in love with the model.

I really liked the interview, I very much enjoyed it.

As said above, the part where he explains the paintjob on Ferrus Manus was very cool. I don't normally much care about IH, so I pay it less intention than I should, but it looks great.

Matt was clearly passionate about his work on Ferrus, and I had to look at and appreciate the studio work during and after hearing it.

Thanks, guys, I really appreciate the feedback. I played Iron Hands for years, so the Ferrus Manus follow-up question wasn't a coincidence :-)

And yeah, otherwise it was the same for me. Had a lot of fun talking to Matt, and I'm very grateful to him. Great guy, kind and down to Earth.

Yes, it was a great part and very appreciated.

I tend towards the more gothic legions, Dark Angels and Word Bearers, with a small SW force, so I love the perspective from the other side.

I try to recommend it to all my friends, especially those of us starting in HH as we start up in the area.

Thank you, Wrath! Much appreciated. I will also try to do a better job in the next one

Excellent video, thoroughly enjoyed the interview.

Was surprised to hear Phil left Forgeworld. The man is a painting genius!

Regretfully so, it's been a few years already. If you've seen my first FW video, you'll know how much of a fan of his I am.

I had a queation out of simple curiosity, have you ever used the FW legion transer sheet?

I was wondering if all those black transfers are fully black, or if they become silver when applied. It would make no sense to put black transfers on black shoulderpads.

Hi Scorpion,

I have used the Iron Hands, Mechanicum, World Eaters, and Death Guard FW transfers. I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean if you get the effect known as "silvering", or whether the black ones are truly black?

In any case, let me recommend a product to you which I haven't reviewed yet: Tamiya Mark Fit Strong. I have used Vallejo and Micro Sol, and this blows both out of the water. Also 1 single product instead of two.

Absolutely killer video. It was interesting to hear his takes on color modulation and how integral airbrushing is to his process. I’m brush painter and prefer the more weathered style so trying to find a way to emulate military scale modeling effects with a brush has been my biggest hurdle.

Thank you very much, Marshall!

Using an airbrush is not required for most weathering techniques, but it does speed up all the previous stages a lot. Is it not possible for you to get one?

Yeah, you are right. My bad.

Allow me to rephrase my question: if I take one of those 'black' transfer symbols the sheet comes with, and apply it on the black shoulderpad of a mini, will the Iron Hands symbol (or clan symbol) still be visible?
