Whitelion
I read a little lexicanum, I got curious, this huge ship attracts me like Nutella: D I read around that the Galatan space marine station was 100 km large, had more firepower than an entire fleet, and could destroy planets. I have read about Phalanx that it is capable of reaching 0.4c in a short time, and it is vaguely stated that it is full of weapons of all kinds, no reference to war enterprises. What do you know about it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366422-what-do-we-know-about-phalanx/ Share on other sites
jeremy1391
It literally held off the chaos fleet for quite some time at the battle of Cadia in which it lost approximately 10% of its mass. We know it pre dates the imperium. We know that the Custodes gave the Imperial Fists something that can bring the phalanx back to almost the capability it had during the Horus Heresy. The commodore of the imperial fists (who in the event of the chapter master dying will take control as defacto chapter master until a new chapter master is selected)who captains the phalanx has one of his hearts removed and it is replaced with a bionic made from a piece of the phalanx. Medjugorje
It has a shrine with the found hand of Dorn. (This is where Helbrecht finds its strength back). Whitelion
Does Dorn's hand have any special power? It has a shrine with the found hand of Dorn. Karhedron
No special powers in the regular sense. It is the Fists' holiest relic and each Chapter Master is permitted to minutely inscribe his name on the bones of the Primarch. Beyond their inspirational value, no special powers have been attributed to the bones IIRC. painting.for.my.sanity and jeremy1391 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366422-what-do-we-know-about-phalanx/#findComment-5600392 Share on other sites
Lord_Caerolion
It has the power of making it hard for Dorn to scratch himself now? It's just the hand of their Primarch, kept as a holy relic. Yeah primarchs provoke a psychological + chemical reaction with space marines, so even if its just Dorn's hand its enough to give his sons a second wind psychologically. Probably easier for a chaplain to organize a day trip to visit the hand with a few brothers and give a ten minute pep talk than a three hour sermon to fire them up. If anything, I wonder how many other successors can come and go to see the hand or if its just a chapter master only privilege for successors.
