Azaiel
Hello Brothers of the watch! Since our beloved Men in black Deathwatch will be getting a new codex soon, cant we celebrate this with a painting challenge? I was thinking something small that could involve anyone playing marines. The challenge could be called "The Deathwatch Veteran".And the rules are as follows:One miniature representing a Deathwatch marine OR a DW veteran who has returned to his chapter. If the marine is a returning veteran he must have something on him that represents his time in the Deathwatch as a mark of honor. It could be a DW shoulderpad, a silver arm/hand, special bolter or a Inq -I- hanging from his belt. But it has to be something that clearly defines him as a DW vet and thus setting him apart from his brothers. The mini can be started from scratch and at most undercoated. The mini must be fully painted and based by the end of the challenge.Give the marine a name and a short backstory. (why was he chosen for the long vigil? What foes did he defeat? etc etc). This is a perfect opportunity for non DW players to make a cool looking Captain, Sergeant, Techmarine etc that looks a bit special. For us DW players it could be a kickstart for the start of a new Codex DW. What do you guys think? Skywrath
I might have to steal that idea, Debauchery for a DA Apothecary conversion. Looks very baller! Although, why not give him the apothecary backpack from the primaris apothecary kit, while trimming the back so it fits? Should work nicely. Should work nicely. well i had these 3rd party bits that were for a tech marine but I only used 2 of the arms. I also added the Adept arm piece along with his custom reductor pistol. Deathwatch Apothecaries are the most trusted and capable bio engineers in the imperium except for Cawl and Fabius Bile. They are trusted with the secrets, traditions and variations of all the chapters they watch over. As well as being in charge of monitoring genetics of xenos they encounter that have varied traits like orks, stealer cults and tyranids to kill them better. That's why he's got extra gear. Also I hate paying 30 bucks for a character I feel like I can make better Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366601-a-painting-challenge-suggestion/#findComment-5605577 Share on other sites
