I was today years old when I figured out that for at least the last couple of editions, you can equip a Vanguard Veteran with dual plasma pistols and a jump pack (). I have been wondering since they came out how to use a Moritat on the tabletops of the 41st millennium. Now I must put one in my Kill Team roster and plan a Forge World order.

I realize this is probably old news to everyone except me, but this forum seems a little quiet, so I thought I would put something out there.

Now if they update the rules to allow Heavy Intercessors ... :woot:

It's a cool idea and could create some fun narrative for the Kill Team. Have you had the opportunity since your post above to test a Moritat in your KT games?

Something else that comes to mind is what would the "best"/most appropriate specialism be for such a model? I'd wager the Sniper specialism would be a sort of default as it boosts the model's shooting capability but perhaps the Scout one could be a decent alternative, giving the model even more movement? Curious to hear folks' thoughts about this. :)

I've got one in my roster for an online LVO 2021 tournament we're doing. Pretty excited to try it. Fall back and shoot with the Fly keyword seems clutch until they update the KT rules to match 9th. The maps for it are so dense that long-range weapons are pretty useless, so having 12" mobility with Sniper (for safer overcharge) seems like a no-brainer.

I’m embarrassed to say that after an enthusiastic start to "modelling season" (winter), as often happens, my momentum was broken and output just fell off a cliff. I haven't procured the model, and I couldn't even speculate on when I might. Excited to see Alcyon's reply above, though! I hope that worked out.

To take this slightly off topic, when this book is easily available in North America, this might change things again. Finding a group and getting out for a game isn't a thing around here right now, but solo gaming certainly could be:
