Coming soon - ish, to a webpage near you... THE FIRST FOUNDING!

Im going to be branching out in my painting and this was the perfect project to do it. Ive been hitting the Blood Drinkers up pretty hard and decided to get a couple other color schemes under my belt. So to start things off the randomizer wheel decided that I should be painting up the boys in blue. So heres a teaser for whats to come. One Primaris in the color of each of the First Founding loyalist chapters. Then... Then I have to figure out how to make up a diorama for them to all hang out together.

So, heres my take on an Ultramarine.

Thanks Brother Dallo, I appreciate it. Hopefully I make it through all nine.

Got the video for the Ultramrine out.

And finished painting the next one, a Salamander.

Third up is the White Scars! It isnt quite what I wanted it to be. I may end up doing another if it stands out too much from the rest of the models when they go on the base.

Thanks Bjorn, My plan is to make a small Diorama base at the end of this series and have them all on there together. Itll be a display piece rather than models to game with. So, for now they are just hanging out waiting for their home.

Guess I should learn how to make terrain at some point...

The Fifth model is complete in my attempt to paint one Marine from each of the Loyalist First Founding Chapters. Raven Guard Assault Intercessor coming in! Maybe when Im done Ill do one of each Traitor legion and have the display boards facing off.

Thanks Bjorn, I appreciate that.

Balloon Dog, I want to use a 8x6 photo frame and build a torn up battlefield scene on it and have them walking towards you across it. Not sure if itll work out as Im not much of a terrain guy though.

The Sixth model is complete in my attempt to paint one Marine from each of the Loyalist First Founding Chapters. Iron Hands Intercessor ready to hold the line!

Building this Diorama was the most fun that Ive had hobbying in a long time, possibly forever! I think that doing something that was outside my background and comfort zone let me not worry about it and just go for it. 10/10 Would build again!

Heres the video of me having fun with Arts and Crafts!

Very cool. What next? You could do a companion piece of the traitor legions and have it look like they are fighting the guys on this diorama.

I do really like this idea and itll probably happen. I have a few other projects to get through first though. Next up is my 50 Blood Angel Batch Paint.
