In Betrayer Esca is referred to as a codicier so probably largely the same. That organisational structure is supposed to have come from the Blood Angels originally.

Symbol-wise, I think a lot of it was shared, though probably less standardised. Blue armour wasn't universal. Psychic hoods and force weapons were common. Based off the Tylos Rubio model, the horned skull icon seems to have been in use.

Thanks, that helps!

I've searched up a few of the HH Librarians do see what I can glean. It seems like they had pretty much the same ranks.

It seems to be the last hold-over from when Nikaea didn't outlaw all psykers, it just outlawed sorcery, and standardized the Librarian program across the Legions as "see, this is how it's meant to be done". The whole "all psykers were banned" is still stupid.
