Sisters of silence - loadout

Hey all,

 

I'm looking at my sister's of silence and wondering what is the best loadout for them?

 

I've a squad of 5 greatswords, but for the rest? Are flamers any good? Boltguns better? What are the prosecutors with twin bolt pistols like?

Play Seeker with grenade launchers. Psykers hate and fear them.

Seekers can take GL, yes. Prosecutors can do boltguns or dual pistols

Cheers, I never realised, probably because there's not an upgrade kit. Easy conversion I know, I'll get a squad of them.

 

I see seekers are heavy support, the prosecutors and vigilators are troop choices.

 

With that in mind are bolters, pistols or swords the best bet?

 

Also what do people take as persuers?

Bolter sisters are an alright Token troops choice, i have no idea why you would want the Bolt pistol option outside of looks   The swords are more useful but you can field them as Oblivion knights in your elites slots who are considerably better  

Seekers with Grenade launchers are excellent, (And yes, a simple conversion) the flamer versions struggle a bit i find as there are a lot of melee units in AoS who laugh at flamers. 

Ive got a photo of a ZM army i fielded below, the best shot i have to hand of my Pursuers, which i converted with Marine bolt pistols and some chains and the Cyber Jackals out of LOTR Wargs and lots of bits

Sisters are a good army to go nuts with wargear on, if you go pure its a real struggle to fill points sometimes as they are cheap and severely limited in FOC slots, well unless you spam Acquisitors, which are ace but supremely expensive IRL

I prefer twin Bolt Pistols over Boltguns, so the girls can charge after double-tapping.

If you and your group are open to 'house rules' and alternative rules then look at the mournival events group on facebook. They allow sisters to replace their regular flamers with toxiferran flamers, from book 8 (same ones legion destroyers can equip) which I think is really fluffy for sisters and also makes them worth taking.

Yeah this. Ultimately what you lose (one bolt shot at long range) is more than made up for in the flexibility of charging.

 

Plus they look ace.

The Problem is they are then directly competing with Vigilators who drop one bolt pistol shot for a massive increase in melee damage and an extra marked unit (Especially good if you have a few of them), i think Prosecutors are best kept cheap and distant spreading your auras and objective grabbing.

That said if they ever get 40k rules they would be significantly more useful there as a flex choice.
