After seeing the point costs for the new Eradicator weapon options, I ran the numbers to see how their extra output stacks up to their extra cost.

The multi-melta represents a 25% point increase for the model carrying it. When stationary or when you already have -1 to hit, it provides a 100% damage increase. While moving, it still provides a 50% damage increase. IMHO, the multi-melta is a no brainer. It's always going to be worth more than the added point cost, so should be taken unless you can't squeeze out the extra 10 points.

Heavy melta-rifles are a bit trickier. They up the point cost by 12.5%. If you're moving and within melta range, they only up the damage output by 8.33%. So definitely not worth it if you intend to keep moving and get in close (usually what you want to do with melta). If moving and outside melta range, that bumps to a 17.86% increase. While stationary, they give a 36.36% and 57.14% increase while in and out of melta range, respectively. They're also swingier, have a significant risk of overkilling vehicles with them, and the extra damage can be entirely wasted against heavy infantry squads. All in all I don't think they're quite worth the cost, but a good argument could be made for them, especially if you can manage to get off shots while staying put.

That's what my math said too, nice to see it confirmed and from a different angle (I wasn't comparing pre- to post with percentages.) Frustrating that you'll have to do some kind of kitbash to give one to your Indomitus crew.

Speaking of indomitus, I have six eradicators. What do I have to do to make them optimum? Multi melta? How many? And what does it look like? Some ideas for kitbashing? (I don't think that I buy the new kit.)

Given I've already got three already assembled from Indomitus, I'm leaning towards picking up a multipart kit, putting one together with a standard melta rifle, one together with a "proper" multimelta, then converting the last into a multimelta too.

Well, in this case, I'll probably sell 3 of my 6 indomitus to get some money and do the same as you.
