Redemption of the Hydra: New AA rules in SM Codex

Given the new rules in the SM codex for their AA vehicles is anyone else holding out hope that the Hydra will be able to make an appearance on the table top again?

 

I'd love to have some sweet quad barrel fun back, and I do not see it be unbalancing given the BS of 4+. 

 

For those curious if updated like C:SM then it would get +2 to hit vs aircraft and no negative modifier versus anything else.

This way its functionally +1 to hit vs. actual aircraft, while not weirdly benefiting shooting fast moving small jump pack models though struggling against slow ground targets.

That might give a bit more utility to the ppr hydra which I don't think I've ever seen fielded...

Just keep in mind that new marine AA guns have benefits agains AIRCRAFT not FLY units

Correct, which as noted above pleases me.

 

I'd be happy to see it get similar treatment so it can work as proper AAA but you don't get punished for having it if the enemy doesn't have a tonne of aircraft
