Daemon Prince Marbas
Is there any way to make a Khorne Daemonkin Warband work in 9th Edition without using World Eaters rules or is there no hope for renegades in the near future? Dr_Ruminahui
Well, you certainly can make a chaos renegade warband where every unit has the Khorne keyword, or the khornate renegade fashion from Vigilus (the brazen beasts? Can't remember its name...)  However, if you want to get the most out of your demons, you would be best off fielding a seperate detachment of khornate demons as well.  Or are you asking how viable such a force would be on the table? Your question isn't very clear. Daemon Prince Marbas
I'm asking is there anyway to make such a force viable, and if so how, or will it just be blown off the table like nothing? McElMcNinja
Without some change to summoning, a second detachment is your best option right now. I think mixed CSM/Daemon is viable, but until we are brought up to new SM strength, it's not super competitive. dice4thedicegod
Yeah, just bring multiple detachments. Â Remember that your daemon buffs (bloodmaster for strength, any HQs for locus of wrath) will help your CSM mutilators, possessed, warp Talons etc but generally not vice versa Daemon Prince Marbas 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366865-khorne-daemonkin-9th/#findComment-5613413 Share on other sites
Doom Herald
Given that you'll most likely want a second detachment, Red Corsairs might be the best bet. Advance and charge is great for melee armies and will make your CSM able to steal objectives from non-ObSec units. With the upcoming 2 wound change, I think this will be even better. And of course, by running Red Corsairs you will get some extra CP to spend on your second detachment. MasterDeath
Red Corsairs, all MoK, new Astartes Chainswords. Instead of cultists just bring Bloodletters. Maybe Possessed for combo buffing or Warp Talons. Rhinos for Transport. A Deepstriking Bloodthirster. Lots of options.
