Angry Banana
I painted these knights as a favour for a friend. I'd never painted a knight before and I was gagging at the bit to get my paws on some. When a very good friend of mine said he wanted to take some to a tournament and would I paint them for him I jumped at the chance. I enjoyed doing them so much that I bought some of my own... Freakshow668
These are excellent, is that a phone number on the side of Arturius' chainsword? I love the little touches of humour you've put into these. Angry Banana
yes, that's it :) I'd finished reading my ABC warriors stuff just before I took these on so there were lots of nods to them - and it seemed normal that these guys would want to advertise their business to any planet that might be interested in knight level destruction :D Freakshow668 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367034-imperial-knight-freeblades/#findComment-5618003 Share on other sites
Angry Banana
For those interested, the bases are really simple. I used a lightweight filler paste front he DIY store here in the Uk to build up bulk and contours., and to which I added some brown paint and PVA as a base. It took a couple fo days to set. Then I did nothing more than sweep up some stuff in the garden. Earth, dead leaves, etc, It doesn't look like much in the dustpan but when its dried out and dropped all over the PVA covered base the scale makes it all miraculously turn into battlefield detritus, and you get the odd twig or root poking out sometimes as well. really simple. I did the same on the DKK Death rider model I posted up.
