I couldn't sleep last night (insomnia is a helluva drug) but it did allow me to make a small bit of progress on my strike squad and modeling my librarian that I got primed today. I'm kinda thrilled with how the green stuff work came out on him and hope that I can paint it to match my imagination.

Is that Draigo’s torso? And the symbol on top, is that DA paraphernalia?

That looks soooooooo sick!

Yes and yes. In my head cannon, his nickname in the chapter is “The Reaper”, so the DA icon works for me. Plus, I have three Draigo torsos so...yeah...I’ve got plans for a chaplain that will look suspiciously similar in the middle.

Thanks for the compliment.

Well to be fair, the DA iconography really suit the GK, the robed, hooded figures with swords standing like sentinels. I would of loved to use the hooded Deathwing heads on some of my models but I cant seen to get my hands on some. And the GK helmets look sick anyway. But still sprinkled in would of been a nice conversion

Thanks for the comments lads, always nice to read some encouragement. I was hoping the mace would fit in well. My idea is that he might have received it from a Deathwing Knight or Interrogator during or after the events in Ritual of the Damned... More to come in this month's narrative!

Excerpt: 999.M41, Era Indomitus, from the Battle Barge: Light of Truth, from the Brother-Captain Aurelius

"The war on Armaggedon continues. The Grey Knights, reinforced by the rhinos of the 7th Company and Brother Regias pushed the assault on the continent of Armaggedon prime with both opposing factions holding firm. The marvels of the Techmarines of such a noble company were beyond doubt - lascannons blasts passed harmlessly of the rhinos front at the last moment, storm-bolter shots that would kill a regular astartes, failed to proclaim their doom at the hands of the forces of Chaos. As with all machines, it was only a matter of time before the ancient artifice combined with the ingenuity of the Emperor would fail. Brother Eudicus of the 1st Brotherhood, blessed be his name, was admitted to the Apothecarion after achieving the monumental feat of banishing the Demon Primarch Magnus in single combat. Such a feat would have earnt a battle-brother a promotion to the rank of justicar or even brother-captain several times over. However, that was not to be his fate. Some wounds, despite the brilliance of the Mechanicus were too great, even while inside the chassis of a Dreadnought. It was Eudicus fate that the greatest venerable dreadnought chassis available was to be found and set aside for his mortal body. The skilled hands of the Forgelord were then to be applied, so that now the Venerable Ancient might serve to fight another time. From hence forth, he would be known as Eudicus, the twice-blessed.

The weary paladins of the 7th brotherhood, reinforced by the Paladin Ancient Naimon, were in the process of establishing a foothold on the continent of Armaggedon Secundus, lead by the Grand Master Vardan Kai. Kai was an accomplished Grand Master, and with Naimon at his side, created quite the combination. Wherever they went, fire and fury inevitably followed - so much so that they were the envy of the purifier order. Entire swathes of demons bathed in silver flame, the last thing any of the thrice-cursed seeing was the revered banner of the Ancient, or the sanctified blade of the Grand Master. On the plains of Armaggedon Secundus, the vanguard force maintained a psychic onslaught that most Lords of Change did not foresee. As the final Lord of Change shrieked it's death into the air, the skies above Armaggedon turned aetheric blue. Lines of fate entangled the world, written in clouds as firm as a teleportarium tube, but intangible as the aetheric. Where the lines hit the ground, futures unravlled - the death of a plant, the rebirth of a tree, the mutation of a guardsman into a spawn. Change was everywhere. The plains of Armaggedon Secundus turned crystal with the accursed sorcery of Tzeentch - plants crystallised into purple and blue crystals, ruins of buildings developed faces, mocking, leering and scowling at the Grey Knights. The ground wept with blood, and change - no landscape within the sight of the bionics of the Grey Knights stayed the same for more than 9 seconds. The number of 9 was written everywhere on the landscape, both plain to the eye, and with our warpsight. With a jolt, the Grand Master, renowned for his intuition, realised - the planet itself was turning demonic and translating into the warp!

High up in the Battle Barge, Light of Truth, the Brother-Captain, Stern and Grand Master Voldus and myself were deliberating of the phenomenon that appeared on the continent of Armaggedon. That the planet was turning demonic was a given, but as soldiers of the emperor, their duty was to humanity, to the citizens, even at the cost of ensuring their humanity. While Voldus and Stern argued the only course was exterminatus, I wasn't certain. There were countless times where the Grey Knights purged the demonic taint, and kept the planet intact. This planet, in the past was an instance of that, even after the months of shame concluded. It would be shameful to repeat the mistakes of the past. With this in mind, the Exorcists, lead by Brother Garland were summoned to reinforce the now deployed Brother-Captains with the purifiers, while Voldus commanded the overall effort from the top of his personal Battle-Barge, the Emperor's Will.

This month, the theme is the aetheric - strange lines of energy have been detected on the planet, changing everything they touch. Your miniatures have to reflect or build upon the above narrative, either in the fluff sense, or in the physical sense the narrative provides. (The theme is the aetheric, perhaps include some warp-looking effects on your miniatures as an example?)

Note: I've done my best to incorporate the fluff all of you provided from last month, and I hope I did all of you justice with your stories. If any of you are unsatisfied how your narrative was incorporated, shoot me a PM, and we can address this further.

Skywrath, could Voldus requisition an Imperial Knight from house Hawkshroud to assist on Armageddon? (I am tentatively thinking about adding him to the Vow, as his has fluff with my GK)

That would be a negative, sorry. Challenge is limited to Grey Knights, Inquisition and Exorcists only.

Legio models has a gorgeous conversion kit.... but no kits for the armigers. Only reason I’m thinking about keeping my knights is cause of that kit

Oh wow, yeah, those kits are something else.

All good, I think I was slightly ambitious to paint up 4 larger sized models anyway. Starting small with the Rhino and Stormhawk is enough for me, I may have bitten off a bit more then I could chew with the LRC but my arm was twisted so... adding the Knight to this months efforts is probably a bit too much anyway with Christmas around the corner.

I started my base coats of metal tonight and I added the Knight in, so far they all are progressing nicely, I fear that may soon change however.

So, yeah, it's time for a bigger tank. I already got an idea how to Aether that even ties in with my other models!  I also found a pair of Servitors to attend the machine. Please add them to my vow.

I'm late to the game because of some life stuff, but here are the Interceptors I promised!

Interceptors

I'm not usually one for PAGK, so this was a different take for me.

Interceptor

Someone on here (apologies, I can't find who!) tried out using Deathwatch legs instead of the stumpy Strike Marine legs. I tried it myself, and it turned out great! These guys feel much more imposing than they usually do.

That would be me, hah and I added the cloaks as well to them. Nice job though!

Putting my "mod" hat on: The admission for last month was about a week ago, so I can't accept it for back then. Do you want me to count these for your admission for this month? And are you planning to vow more to this, if so?
