Master Sheol
So Kill Team is coming to Pariah nexus (just six months after Indomitus) What are your wish and expectation for this? I hope for many more units for all factions (but i know it will be primarly SM and Necrons) and also updating some rules and profiles (of weapons and units) in the light of what happened in main 40K If we will have a boxed set or new killzones i will be extremely happy too Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367106-kill-team-comes-to-pariah-nexus/ Share on other sites
Mandragola
I expect this is something bringing KT into line with 9th edition 40k. At a minimum I think we'll have marine and necron units brought into line with the stats in the new books. Regardless of what's actually in the box (assuming it's a box) the key thing is that Kill Team is still on GW's agenda. We haven't seen anything for it in a while and most of the stuff is out of stock now, so it's good that it's continuing. firestorm40k
My speculation on this release - it'll definitely include: - Rules for some of the new Marine units (Assault Intercessors, maybe Bladeguard); - Updated Necron Warriors rules (with the Gauss Flayer) - The new Flayed Ones kit as part of the set; - The current Death Watch Kill Team kit as part of the release (or maybe, if there's something with the new Codex supplement miniature wise, it'll be that). I think it's unlikely we'll see with this release: - Wholesale rules/stats updates across the entire range (e.g. two wound Tac Marines); - New Inquisition (Ordo Xenos) minatures (they way GW preview stuff nowadays, we'd have seen something to point to this) What I *hope* this release also includes: - Rules for new Necron units like those Skorpekh Destroyers (please!); and - Terrain. Tasty new Necron catacomb themed terrain :D Perhaps with subterranean fighting rules, like with that new WarCry set that's coming out. Either way, I'm very, very happy for a new Kill Team release; I've been wanting rules for the new Necron stuff since Indomitus was announced - I wouldn't do a full army for 40k, but I think some of those new Necron minis would be fun to paint and run in games of Kill Team. Not that I don't have enough stuff to paint for Kill Team as it is...  :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367106-kill-team-comes-to-pariah-nexus/#findComment-5619210 Share on other sites
Lysimachus
I reckon: 1. Minimum: Added units for SM/Necrons (the Indomitus infantry stuff) New (Nexus specific?) Missions, rules and Stratagems. 2. Maybe: Updated full SM and Necron lists that update stats/weapons in line with 9th (Bolt weapons, 2W Firstborn, etc) 3. Would also be nice, if they've done 2: Updated weapons/stats across the board (eg. Universal weapon profiles like flamers, 2W for CSM, etc) 4. Unlikely but would be cool: Inquisition KT list. All of the above would be nice, but we all know the quote about hope... I'm equally undecided on whether it will be a book or a new box. Caution makes me think book similar to the 19 Annual, but the Flayed Ones in the trailer could suggest a box, presumably v. DW and with some terrain... Dr_Ruminahui
I'm hoping (but not expecting) a great boxed set with tons of fantastic terrain as per the first Kill Team release - that box was worth it even if I had no interest in either of the factions (though I have since repurposed the cultists). If it more like the release with the mechanicum terrain, unless I'm interested in one of the factions I'll likely skip it and just get the rulebook. Other than that, I'm hoping for more (even if just re-released) killzone boxes - those were great deals for terrain. One hope that I know is going to go unfulfilled is that they have another in store kill team campaign - the one they had 2 years ago was a blast, but here you can't even go into the stores to buy anything, so lthat unfortunately won't be happening. firestorm40k 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367106-kill-team-comes-to-pariah-nexus/#findComment-5619742 Share on other sites
