So, this is an interesting item, but against Psyker heavy armies, or even just armies that depend heavily on getting off one or two powers, has anyone tried using the Reliquary of Gathalamor relic I combination with a Culexus assassin?

Between these two, enemy Psykers within 18" have -3 to their casting (making even basic casts, like Smite, much more difficult and making more advanced powers, like Doom or Death Hex, exceptionally difficult to get off unless they are being cast by someone like Magnus).

On top of this, if the enemy Psyker does fail to cast, then on a 4+ they take D3 MWs... you have a very solid chance of not only denying your opponent's powers, but having his Psyker blow itself up in the process.'

Anyhow, anyone use this yet? While Psychic powers are not dominating the meta right now, the ability to remove a critical piece of your opponent's battle plan (and punish him while doing it) seems pretty strong, especially given that cost is 1CP (for an extra Relic) and taking a Culexus Assassin in your army list.

The SW's Wolf Tail talisman is another debuff you can throw into the mix. In open play, it seems to be a lot to invest on stopping something you might not even face. Taking it in cases where you know your opponent is relying on psychic powers could work but seems a bit unfair. Only take it against a friendly opponent if he keeps stomping you with psych.

Not something I would take in a TAC-list because it's either useless (plenty of factions without a psychic-phase) or it won't really do that much (if you have 1-2 psykers, keeping them outside 18" won't be that hard. I regularly face Tyranids and keeping my Librarian outside SitW (24") is pretty manageable.)

Vs. Grey Knights or Thousand Sons however, I would probably consider it too powerful, and most GK/TS-players would probably accuse you of tailoring and I wouldn't blame them.

TLDR: Only something I would use against psychic-heavy opponents in friendly games and I would warn my opponent beforehand.
