Wolves Crusade talk

Plan is to talk about crusade here and the epic deeds of our armies.

I recently played a couple Crusade games against Tyranids. Winning both and getting a good feel for Crusade and how it works. I pretty much just wanted to use my favorite converted/painted models for my army. Chief amongst them are my Wolf lord on thunder wolf with dual claws, Judiciar and Primaris wolf priest on bike. ( I’ll post pics when able.)

 

So primaris priest and the Judiciar participated in the first 2 games but I’m looking to add the wolf lord. I want to spend RP for my wolf lord to have relic “frost”claws For +1S and +1 dmg as well as the warlord trait saga of the wolfkin for d3 extra attacks on the charge. As he gains honors I want to give him the frenzon injector For plus 1att and reroll adv and charge. Take lvl and honors id like to give him mark of the wulfen for +2 attacks if near wulfen. Later when he earns his 3rd battle honors I’m looking at flesh bane for +1 dmg. So by the time he is “heroic/legendary” rank. He would Eventually have Between 10-12 attacks on the charge at S5 3dmg rerolling wounds, adv and charge with rerolls to adv and charge. I’m excited. Hopefully I can keep him alive while he seeks his saga.

Nice this is great idea for an ongoing topic. I've made a crusade roster for my wolves, and have played some combat patrol games but we haven't tinkered with experience yet. We want to make a campaign with multiple armies so it says fresh even though it'll probably only be 3 regulars.

I love Crusade, I've started two crusades with my all Primaris Wolf successor against my buddies Necrons.  Both made it to 3 games, I won all 6 games without losing a single unit, just a few marines here and there.......  after that my buddy decided he didn't like the crusade system and thought it was to restrictive and not well balanced for the side that keeps losing battles.....

 

So now I'm trying to house rules some things in hopes that he will enjoy the crusade system more and we can try starting a third crusade.......
