Dwango
Hello all. I will (hopefully) be moving house soon. This has spurred me on to work out a 2 in 1 storage display method for my hordes. I have settled on magnetising my minis and putting them into really useful storage boxes. These serve the display and transport elements enough for me. As I have a sizable aeldari force I have many types of anti grav vehicles. These have proven tricky to work out how to magnetise to fit into this storage method. They are not flat, as a tank or std bases are so do not sit flush with the base of the box. I also don't like the idea of magnetising the stand and have them sat on it as I think these will break in transit. Do any of you wonderful lot have and experience/suggestions/handy tips on how to successfully achieve this please? My current thought is to glue small square steel rods to the base to raise it up and give the vehicles something to stick to. Xenith
Are the storage boxes metal based, meaning mags stick to them? I magged the turrets on my eldar tanks so they are removable and then stack flat. Dwango
I've put sticky backed ferrous matting down, so yes mags will stick. How do you get the grav tanks themselves to stick? Lord Raven 19
I don't have any experience with eldar tanks but could you turn them upside down and have the turret holding magnet hold the tank in place? Dwango
I had just thought of that and I think its a possibility. It won't cover the jet bike/starweaver type designs as well as some of the forgeworld ones though. ☹ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367342-magnetising-aedari-vehicles-for-storagetransport-purposes/#findComment-5625000 Share on other sites
