Hi, do you know which armies can reliably (say 50% chances and above before reroll) charge across 24", if any? Nephrekh Canopteks used to be able to do that with move+advance+charge but I think that's over (don't have the book in hand).

For example, can ork bikers charge after advancing with the right stratagem? Likewise for DE reavers, etc.

I might very well be wrong, but I think my question could be simplified to: which armies have the option of charging after advancing with fast attack units?

Thanks!

Summarized from the following posts:

- Necrons (100% success with the right combo)

- Raven Guards

- Dark Eldars

- Orks

- Blood Angels

- White Scars

- Raven Guards

- Black Templars (100% success with the right combo)

- Slaanesh Daemons

- Genestealers (not 100% sure if they can at >50% chance)

Slaanesh Daemons can advance and charge in the right circumstances. Not sure if it's standard or not but it's very easy for them to combo. Their Fiends can move 14" so if consider this and the above you're looking at early game melee...

Genestealers can move 8", advance and charge too, which is incredibly fast. Maybe not a full 24" in a turn but very possibly.

Infiltrating (Move before first round), Strike from the skies (Advance and +1 to charge on jetpacks) Ravenguard jetpacks have a threat range of like Mx2+1+3D6" T1

I imagine Whitescars Bikes and Blood Angels Jetpacks can charge and advance as well.

Orks can real easy, any vehicle+warboss on bike/deffkilla wartime. Move and advance+ 3d6pick highest 2 charge ramming speed. Deff dreads in teleporter and ramming speed. Stormboyz on their own, evil sunz boyz with Da Jump or jumping out of a stationary transport for extra 3.
Necrons with relentless expansionist should be able to do turn 1 charges with wraiths and catacomb command barges. Give them the Butchers dynasty for the plus 1 to charge and it should doable. (I could be wrong, because I'm trying to figure this out with the app...)

Thanks, I've updated the first post.

@Papa Nurgle 82: Tomb blades next to a OL/CCB with the butchers + relentlessly expansionists custom dynasty would get a 6" move, +15" move (if the OL/CCB is still in range), followed by a mere 2" charge (considering the butchers trait). I'm trying to think of why this would be a good idea but we can at least say that necrons have a combo to has a 100% sure charge across 24 inches :)

Actually Blood Angels are not much better at T1 charges than most other Marine armies. Unlike Wolves or White Scars, we don't get fast units with Advance + Charge built in. At the moment we don't have stratagems like "Forlorn Fury" in the Index which used to be used to push Death Company up the board before the first turn. We may get it back in future along with something to replace "Descent of Angels" but as it stands, Blood Angels are only slightly faster than Codex Marines.
