With the new Imperial Armor Compendium book coming out, it has been determined that the two Land Speeders offered for Space Marines were the Land Speeder Tempest and the Javaline Attack Speeder. While I am personally more intrigued by the Land Speeder Tempest, does anyone plan to field either one of these and has anyone seen their Data Sheets to know if there have been any changes to their profiles in any way? You can check out the datasheets at the Sprues and Brews review:

Looking at the options, they both seem kind of ok. They're comparable with the Land Speeder Typhoon. Tempests are basically typhoons with an assault cannon instead of a heavy bolter, and one more wound, for 5 more points. That's an ok deal I suppose.

Javelines have a bit more flexibility, and 9 wounds. Their missile launchers get 3 shots (or 3D6) instead of 2. The base one is 15 points more than a Typhoon, which looks like a pretty good deal actually. You can replace their heavy bolters with multimeltas and give them a couple of HK missiles if you want. Fully tooled up these things would be pretty nasty. However their points would be similar to a Storm Speeder by that point, and they only come in units of 1, not 1-3 like niormal land speeders and the Tempest. They also have the Martial Legacy rule, so you need to pay a CP to bring one.

Overall I think they both seem kind of ok, but not outstanding. That's kind of a theme throughout this book, it seems.
