Greetings Phaerons!

I am starting a new Necron force and I am mostly new to the faction (played against them a little at the end of 7th/beginning of 8th).

This is what I have so far:

Skorpekh Lord

Royal Warden

Skorpekh Destroyers (3)

Warriors (20)

Scarabs (6)

Wraiths (3)

Void Dragon

I also have a box of Immortals/Deathmarks and I'm undecided how to build them (love the look and idea of Deathmarks but unsure if Immortals will fit better).

My thoughts are to get a CCB, Technomancer, 20 more Warriors, Doomstalker, and a Triarch Stalker. Does that sound like a well rounded list? *I play exclusively with a small group of friends (try-hard beer and pretzels).

Thanks for any input!

Personal recommendation is that what you're suggesting sounds great :)

Based on the nature of your group I'd recommend some crusade games in the pariah Nexus! Great fun and would fit what you're after doing.

If you love the idea of Deathmarks, build them as Deathmarks. There are no duff choices :)

You've a nice blend of range and combat so can switch stuff around too.

Those are all god choices.

My opinion is the CCB is our best non named character. Fast moving buff character that can be kitted out for beat stick anti charge. I see a lot of love for the void scythe relic, but I prefer the voltaic staff. It’s got a marine killer profile, and what I think is an overlooked exploding 6s Tesla rule. That plus Gauss cannon and orb is my load out.

Immortals v deathmarks I’d say immortals only because they’re a troop choice. If you get more warriors for that slot then you’re okay to build whatever you’d like.

My suggestion is 2-3 more wraiths and Skorpekh destroyers to fill out the units you already have. Assuming you like how they perform. Both are better in at least 5 model units.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback.

I was considering whether or not to increase the Wraiths and Skorpekhs, mostly because character protection disappears once only one model is killed. But then I thought to myself, "self, why not run your Skorpekh Lord up with your C'tan?" Protection for days, at least that's the theory. I haven't had a chance to get any games in yet, but I do have a dedicated Saturday coming up soon which will be our first dive into Crusades!
