Marshal Vespasian
Hi, So I own a sizable 30k army, 7k and growing. My current foam transport doesnt really cut it anymore so I want to switch to a magnetized transport solution. So has someone on here magnetized tanks so they can magneticly transported? Or has seen a blog post/video where someone shows a good way to do it. thanks guys Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367608-magnetizing-tanks-for-transport/ Share on other sites
MegaVolt87
I ran into the same issue. I just got different bags and custom foam from battlefoam. Too much hassle for magnetic trays, plus you would be spending a lot on magnets to properly secure them to the tray anyway. Easier to get new foam and bags for a better future proof storage soloutiin. You spend a fortune on mini's, may as well spend a bit more to protect them properly. Counter productive to cheap out on storage. Marshal Vespasian
Well I am thinking about Armybox heavy support/Tablewar Tower MKIII or battlefoam Magna rack. Currently I am gravitating towards the armybox as I will be able to also put my feldherr foam into the box. So I'll propably do that. Seems like the best of both worlds to me. AenarIT
I magnetized some guard tanks (3 russes and 1 baneblade). It's super easy to do, as it simply requires drilling holes in the treads. 4 3x2mm magnets for each leman russ, but you can also use some 4x2mm I guess as it depends on their strenght. If you drill correctly, they sit perfectly flush with the underside of the treads. Here's a pic: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367608-magnetizing-tanks-for-transport/#findComment-5631235 Share on other sites
