McFarlane Intercessor - Scythes of the Emperor

So for the past couple of weeks I've been working away on on of the 7 inch tall McFarlane Space Marine Intercessors.

 

This is still heavily WIP, but I thought I might share a quick picture of the progress prior to getting a few more hours to work on him this evening.

I did actually manage a bit of hobby time this evening, starting to add some of the chipping to the black and yellow areas, started on the LCD screen and starting to add more depth to the brass trim on the shoulder pad.

 

And then after a coat of varnish felt a bit more comfortable changing the pose ever so slightly.

So I had a WWE Kane action figure head arrive in the post today, so started a repaint of it to something more realistic. It's not a perfect fit due to the neck connector, but looks alright I think.

 

What do you reckon?

Hermanista would you mind sharing which scale and manufacturer made the kane figure? Getting a relative scale for alternate heads for these models would be helpful!

It's one of the Mattel WWE action figures afaik, I just searched on ebay for WWE heads and having seen someone else go for this one, went for it as well.

WOW! This is looking fantastic! Love the head, looks like a good scale and the expression is cool too!

 

I really like the weathering on the chest eagle, I always overdo the effect, but you have nailed it!

Excellent work on this.  Can I ask was the head from the Deluxe addition figure?  I've been working on a Space Wolves version here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367128-barners-mcfarlane-primaris-intercessor/

and ordered a WWE head but it's way to small as you can see from the pics.  Was not sure if the deluxe versions are bigger or I just choose a wrestler who has a tiny head!
