Put together how I would like to run a destroyer cult + stuff I like the look of/ want to paint etc. Shame the OG destroyers are looking a bit dated though in comparison to everything else. Oh well.

Looks powerful to me. Very offensive. I presume the Objectives holding elements are the Lokhust Destroyers whilst the choppy elements move forward?

Tomb Blades are ideal for jumping onto Objectives too.

I presume the plan for the Lychguard is to march up the table and hold objectives and fight melee as opportunity arises? I was just wondering if it might be best to swap them out for more Skorpekh Destroyers? Another similar unit as you've got then 115pts for something else? Scarabs always go well.

Of course you might need to adjust the Detachment which might not be possible at that point, since the army would need more compulsory choices.

Aside from that personal preference, yeah looks like it could be very effective. :)

I picked lychguard as I feel anything that has a storm shield equivalent is a good pick in 9th. The ophydians can deep strike, so I could outflank the skorpekh ones if I like. I think the -3 CP penalty feels fair for doing this kind of list with a more skew detachment. I'm just worried how much work I need to put into the OG shooty destroyers to make then fit visually with the new kits.

Heavy Support 2 and 3 aren't legal units and are over cost in your list. Heavy Lokhust are max 1 in a unit of Lokhust or max 3 in a unit of just Heavies.

3x Lokhust w. gauss cannon + 1x Heavy Lokhust is 235 points, alternately 3x Heavies are 210.

You can take 0-1 of the new destroyer in the old destroyer unit. So, X3 old ones is 210, x1 new one 70 for 280. You could even do a 2 man unit with one of each in the lokhust destroyers unit entry for a legal unit.

3x Lokhust Destroyers with gauss cannons is still 165 points, they cannot upgrade to emnitic exterminators as that is for Heavy Lokhust only.

Then why have unit options for gun, new destroyer is 70 points and free guns, why would x1 new destroyer with gun be more points than the dedicated unit? The gun swaps are for old destroyers, heavy solo one can switch for free.
