Gnomeo
Good day my brothers. I have just read the bell of lost souls article about the changes to the thunderhawk. The main highlight is it is now around 800pts so a viable option at 2k pts. However with no invul I feel it suffers the same issue as the stompa to easy to kill. HOWEVER we are grey knight and we have the most beautiful of powers... edict imperator. Now I know some of you know this trick any way and might use it for your stormravens. However for the uninitiated let me explain. Movement phase move thunderhawk to a position where it can shoot and is in range of edict emperator. Psychic phase cast edict imperator. It shoots and fly's off the board. It is now safe and sound in reserves. Turn 2 movement phase deepstrike that thunder hawk so in range of edict imperator. It shoots and fly's off the board. Rinse and repeat you now have an invincible thunderhawk. My wonder is if the rest of the army would be too weak to survive/score points. Or would this be counteracted by the thunderhawks fire power? (I do not own a thunderhawk however certainly tempted!!!) Gnomeo
I agree flyers aren't in a good spot. However the thunderhawk does bring some insane levels of fire especially anti tank. The difference between a 1k list and the 1.2k left over is in a 1k list you have to cover your bases. Where as with the 1.2k you can focus more survivability. Do I actually this could work probably not am I gona see if I can make it work hell yes. Further on about it soaking wounds. If it has killed the main major threats to it the yeah leave it on the board with the size of it you could park it somewhere and block movement with it. even with the flyer rules as it is that big. I am currently theory crafting some lists which I think could work.
