theprophetofwar
So, hey. Thunderwolf lord. Chapter master. Angel artifice for T6, W8. 2+/4++ Hunter saga. Can advance and charge, fall back and charge, +1 to pile-in etc. And can buff the twc nearby. Could give a second saga: bear* and beast sound likely. Add in my old wolf priest with jump pack for +2 to charge and bring the wulfen stone... Sounds good to me. Squark
I'd go with the (poorly named, admittedly) Master of the Codex warlord trait for your first pick. And you have a 50-50 chance to get the extra CP for Hero of Legend refunded on turn 1, too, so there's that much more reason to get a second warlord trait. theprophetofwar 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367761-wolf-master/#findComment-5633483 Share on other sites

Karhedron
Thunderwolves already have the ability to Advance and Charge (which is the best bit of Saga of the Hunter) so he gets less benefit from it. I would be tempted by the Iron Resolve WLT from the codex. That takes him up to 9 Wounds and adds a 6+++ which is the maximum limit for benefiting from "Look out Sir". Don't forget the Storm Shield for a 1+ armour save. Being able to ignore AP-1 is handy with more chainswords in the meta. If durability is the goal I recommend armor indomitus and Bear combo 6+++ and no rerolls...still have the extra wound....get a 2+ armor upgrade...and for a single phase you get 3++ that just may save your ass I have been testing that and like it better than pelt of the balewolf alternative Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367761-wolf-master/#findComment-5633514 Share on other sites
theprophetofwar
I was leaning more towards all the other benefits, like being able to fall back and charge another target. I've been having fun seeing all the possible interactions and combos to really customize things.
