SadisticFurvy
Here's my latest 2k list I plan to run this weekend. Rough plan. -Intersessors hold back field objectives -Vets go on flanks and try to move to and hold mid objectives -Redemptors and eradicator's move up the centre with the captain, laying down fire and generally being very killy and a massive target. -Callidus stays hidden, and generally will just be annoying Turn 2 -Terminators and vanguard vets drop in with chaplain and lib to what ever vulnerable spot is open to apply backfield pressure and hack there way through whatever they can. -Callidus pops up and goes for a key character if option presents. Doctrines (obviously it's flexible and depends on opportunity presented and deployment situations, but) rough idea to be... T1 heavy T2 & T3 assault T3 assault or tactical T4 assault or tactical T5 likely tactical Comment's and criticism welcome. thinkerofuselessthings
I'm really interested on the battle course. Some choices in the list are intriguing. For example the two dreads, I assume that they are guarded by aegis Primaris Captain. A battle report and in deep analysis of the list would be appreciated. I'm more on the Primaris (Gravis) way of Deathwatch. Debauchery101
Put your terminators into the kill teams in place of the vanguards. You're terminators can rock without a sgt no problem and they sometimes lack ability to close in on an enemy in the charge phase and they have teleport/teleport homer so likely they'd make better options for the obsec You could keep 1 VV group with the kill team for hvy hammer access and so that you can give them a specialist upgrade. That many hammers could be a bit toned down as well The other one can be geared with more anti infantry. With a sgt the fist becomes very reliable. SadisticFurvy
Changed the list a fair bit in the end... New list at the end of break down +++The list break down+++ I had a general plan going into the games ive played with this list, but as always, terrain, missions and your opponent will always throw that off. The general plan going in... My foot troops (veterans and intercessors) on the flanks/move to hold back field objectives, the storm shield vets have a lot of staying power in cover, and a unit of the vets with a unit of intersessors grouped up can handle other light units fairly easy. The redempters, these guys just move straight down the middle with the Captain for a durable and mobile anti everything. Plenty of dakka and beasts in combat, these are great all rounders. Rerolls from the capt and the 5++aura of his makes this work a treat The Vanguard Vet squad with power swords, to hold back in the centre-ish and block deepstrike, then act as a mobile counter to what ever flank requires it. T2 or T3 - Obsec Terminators come dropping in as close to an enemy help objective as possible, chaplain drops with them and uses Commanding Oratory strat to ensure he gets his canticle of hate of, 7" charge for terminators now, plus a cp reroll. Mostly works right ;) hammers go knock any unit on am objective off the objective and fists go for next closest unit to open a hole in the line. The Librarian and hammer Vanguard vets are to drop elsewhere where required, the Lib can drop veil of time and null zone allowing the hammer vets to go elite unit hunting, null zone can ruin a well thought out plan quite often. Callidus goes for most annoying enemy character, and comes in same turn as rest reinforcements, her reign of confusion ability is always great. The fist terminators have the homing beacon to head back to deployment zone if/when required to take back any objective as a quick and hard response. The lib (if still alive) in the late game, can move quick thanks to jetpack and use the beacon angelis to move the hammernators l or vets if needed, then drop veil of time on them to rush them forth. Id write a batrep, but this is kinda similar to how this evenings game actually went. Things ive discovered from this though... The ability to redeploy terminators through out the game is invaluable (teleport homer/beacon angelis). Terminators with obsec - amazing. Redemptors dont die easy, but they wilk kill everything easily. The Callidus is the best assassin, she will likely die, but generally takes her target down first. + Stratagems + Relics of the Chapter [-2CP]: 2x Number of Extra Relics + Agents of the Imperium + Callidus Assassin [5 PL, 100pts] + HQ + Chaplain [7 PL, -1CP, 130pts]: 1.
