FormelyKnownAsSmashyPants
Thinking of doing a Tank Coy in 2021 if we end up with new IG models and I’m thinking of using Land Raider tracks on LR Hull. Has anyone done this? And if so is there much work involved? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/367909-leman-russ-command-tank-tracks/ Share on other sites
Xenith
Do you mean using the whole side sections of the Raider, or widening the Russ chassis side panels to accomodate the Raider tracks? Ryltar Thamior
Looks like it's been done previously on B&C The Land Raider tracks are almost twice as wide as standard Leman Russ tracks, though it looks like it might be surprisingly viable to do with some spacers between the outer and inner hull. Although it might be a little interesting due to the differences in length between the sections for a Land Raider and the places you'd be mounting them on a Russ. The latter, widening the Russ panels to accomodate the Raider tracks. Thanks for the link, that seems doable with a bit of work. I’ll try and PM Dark Bjoern and see if he’s got some advice. I’ve seen it done the other way with double Russ tracks but I think the other way with the Raider tracks would look better.
