After reviewing the leaks of what seem to be the complete relevant parts of the BA supplement I've found myself rather uninspired, and I don't think I'm alone in that.  What follows is the first list concept I've come up with that I'm satisfied with, though I'd agree with anybody who suggests it doesn't play like a traditional BA list.  My intent was to come up with something fairly simple to play for local RTTs.  I'm not a supremely competent competitive player, but enjoy the competitive aspect of the game.  I think I've come up with something that can play the same every game, and force my opponent to play on my terms, rather than having to react to their game plan.

Intended Secondaries:
Deploy Scramblers

Psychic Ritual

Oaths of Moment

Now, I can hear you saying to yourself: "Psychic Ritual on Mephiston is a huge waste!"  Let me explain.  The plan, with Oaths of Moment and Psychic Ritual is that I can essentially just stand in the middle of the board and score points, forcing my opponent to engage me in the middle to try and stop me, and in most cases, if somebody is trying to fight me, I'm winning.  Nearly everything has a Storm Shield, and the SG and Chaplain can start off the board to drop in and deal with my primary threat.  I chose Mephiston over a cheaper Librarian option solely for his durability, since he has to live to cast the ritual three times.  In the few scenarios I ran he was actually more durable than a Librarian Dreadnought and a Librarian with defensive relics/traits since he has a 5+++, T5, is eligible for Transhuman, and can be healed by the Priest if he doesn't die.  With movement 7 he will also have no issue getting into the middle of the board to cast the ritual on T1 and psychic actions can be cast even if the caster advanced, if I read correctly.  My biggest worry would be my opponent's ability to deny the cast, but hopefully the VanVets or SG can deal with that.

The Scouts are solely for deploying the scrambler in my opponent's deployment zone.

The Bladeguard and Terminators numbers are there solely because that's what I own, I'd happily discuss different arrangements of models/units that would be more efficient in a mid-board tank role.  I wouldn't say the model numbers/wargear is finalized, this is mostly to discuss the primary concept and playstyle of the list rather than the minutia.

Are there any fatal flaws I've missed?

Psychic ritual is *generally* bad, this list might make good use of it. I foresee a problem when you run into another combat army. BA are neither the hardest hitting nor the most durable combat army, and against the ones that are you can't just let them react to you, as they'll just steamroll you off the table. Slaanesh daemons are a good example. You aren't going to just be able to stand in the center of the table and slug it out with them, you'll lose more often than not.

I definitely agree Psychic Ritual is questionable, but as far as secondaries go there's worse. Again the whole point is to help myself out by picking secondaries that help me dictate my own fate.

As far as Slaanesh Demons and other comparable or superior melee armies go, I'm certain you're right. I expect that to be a challenge to deal with regardless. I suppose if my SG and VanVets can bear the brunt elsewhere to lessen the weight of models in the center.

With the point raised by The Unseen I altered the list a bit to include a Judiciar with the 6" Heroic Intervention trait to return his Tempormortis to a useful range. With some idle time I set about seeing if I could come up with a formation for the Terminators and Bladeguard the would protect all of the characters and still allow the Judiciar to HI as needed without being move-blocked by his buddies. I wasn't able to find an arrangement that didn't create at least one obvious "blind spot" that a fast melee unit couldn't get to. So I'll probably shelve this idea until I come up with another idea.
