Brothers I will be getting the book and Uriel figure.     I may use a different head ( bald) or have a helmet on him have nit decided yet.    What's funny I am working on my UM 4TH company so I have the Captain when Uriel comes out.    :biggrin.: :smile.: :HQ:

But... Uriel has never been depicted as bald though

Cool, I'll be getting the model. :) I'm excited that we are getting a new primaris character model period, regardless of who it it is honestly. Would have preferred sicarius still, but this is still awesome and I'm happy, Ventris is pretty cool after all. ;)

Honestly wasn't expecting a legit official answer to this question for some time when I started the thread. Lol.

As I said in the thread about this, I hope that his rules are better than Valerians, or at least better written. Valerian wasn't usable when released due to keyword mishaps, if everyone remembers.

Regardless of his rules though, this is cool and I'm thankful we are getting a new model. :)

Yeah, hyped for a new hero.

Now let's get the supplement. We've got a new unit that needs to be included in a book.

It would make sense if that's who they were waiting for before releasing a Supplement.

It probably means Sicarius is way down that list. Uriel may have an anti chaos twist?  The thing about Sicarius is he was a good "troops" support guy which I felt the UM could use since every other marine rule that comes out seems to be better at manipulating the Traits, and Obsec (which I really think is a UM trick).

I think the model is good, but the paintjob on the face is not.

The official Guilliman model doesn't have a great paintjob on the face either.

Once I've got it I'll take a look at the head, and if I still don't like it I'll use a helmet.

All you need to do is finding a head that looks more like the one on the book´s cover. Maybe one of the Intercessor heads.

One of the Intercessor heads can definitely be used. It's a face without Scars and neat hair that isn't receeded.

Alternatively I have a spare Primaris helmet with the Ultramarines symbol on it.

All this being said, I'm waiting to actually see the unpainted head in the kit.

I think a couple of the Mohawk guys on the Assault Intercessor sprues would do the job but you might want to add a little GS for the hair.

The Titus head from the Sternguard kit might work well or the Vangaurd veteran mohawk guy.

Like Ishagu says, it's best to wait to see the bare plastic. I've seen plenty I've hated in the past due to paint jobs but they look great in person unpainted.

I think it's supposed to be more of military crop. I think the main influence is the tradtional roman hair cuts we see on the primaris upgrade sprues like with caligula here

calig

I think the intention was supposed to be a longish military crew cut based on the artwork or a roman version.

hair

Trouble is they modelled the strands of hair too thick and it doesn't translate well and looks like a monkish bowl cut.

Personally I'd paint the sides of the head as stubble.

In the full Hellblaster kit I recall some very cool head sculpts that were weathered, but nicely done.

Uriel looks like he’s been eating well. :biggrin.:

He is definitely a bit jowly. Probably been eating too many xeno brains (for intel purposes of course). Brains are very high in calories yaknow:yes: .....:happy.:

Good observation there. I'll probably keep the head for continuity sake. Stubble's a good idea:thumbsup: I think I'll wait to see the model first before I decide on what to do with the hair though.

Yep. He looks more like primaris Friar Tuck.

"This is grain. Which any fool can eat. But for which the Emperor intended, a more divine means of consumption. Let us give praise to our father, and glory to his bounty: by learning about...Beer!"

I will place a helmet on him I think, or see if I can change the paint job and make it look better. I'm thinking of trying the crest from a MK III kit on a Primaris helmet. Don't know if it will work yet.

I'm not working on Ultramarines proper, but I like to pick up the BL characters regardless.
