So you know you are having bad luck with gold paint when you barely make it through painting gold with Retributor Armour by scrapping the bottom of the paint pot, get your washes done grab your Auric Armour gold and it has separated so bad that it can be saved....only to find a new pot of Retributor Armour in your paint rack 

 

I need Auric Armour to start the highlights on the gold. Then Basing and glow effects for eyes, sword and teleporter...and of course some small touch ups here and there

Gold paints really are some of the most troublesome in the Citadel range. They separate so much and need a ton of mixing nearly every use. Saying that though, your gold is looking decent :)

No hobby updates, as I have been sick for past few days, plus having to deal with issues at home and work did not help.  But Saturday I have my 1k games.

Very nice! I especially like all the extra gubbins on the base.

 

Looking forward to hearing how the game goes. I’m constantly amazed how few models GK can muster for a game, especially if you want vehicles. My 1k points has 18 but yours is even less!
 

Does make it a nice army to enjoy painting though as you can focus on fewer guys.

I probably could have gone no terminators and took my champion, techmarine, strikes lascannon razorbacks, interceptor, purgation and servitors with dreadnought. And probably faired better than I will…playing against @The_Oni_of_Hindsight’s Votaan. But since we are gonna do a crusade probably next year I wanted a Terminator strike force. 
 

I do have more GK stuff to paint - Paladins, Purifiers, interceptors, purgations, Crowe for infantry, plus 2 more Dreadnoughts, 3 dreadknights (1 is GMNDK) a land raider and storm talon.

 

plus more land raiders, razorbacks, and after picking up my order today 15 more Terminators of the 20 I need 

 

but it looks like I need to work on some imperial agents for this…In the Name of the Emperor

Well we played Kill points and final score was Grey Knights 6; League of Votann 7. I was completely wiped out at bottom of 3rd but it took most of his army shooting me to do it. 
 

Garbage model of the game: Venerable Dreadnought. Missed both turns of shooting….shrugged off most big guns turn 1 then died bottom of 2. Ugh

 

Dreadknight was ok and received 10 wds in 1st turn cause my dice rolls were bad but he killed things before dying

These all look great, I wish I could find some etched brass for my knights. Loving your paint job on the dread knight, I’ve just started painting my own and now may have to mimic the colours you used on the weapons.

The glow effect is white (old privateer press- P3) and Army Painter War Paints Fanatic Plasma Coil Glow effect paint. 

 

Red is the standard red paint technique form GW:  Leadblecher base, Mephiston Red, nuln oil wash, evil sunz scarlet, wild rider red. 

 

The Forgeworld etch brass I have had for years and have ben OOP for over 5 years.
