Hey, all. I'm a BT player and looking to run some sisters with my army for fluff reasons.. although I think they actually dislike each other in real fluff? Something about hellsreach? Anyway, I'm looking to include a patrol detachment of sisters. My question is.. if you all could only take a very small add-on of sisters.. what would you recommend? So far I'm thinking canoness (loadout unknown) and two squads of battle sisters loaded with stormbolters. I feel it would compliment the foot slogging nature of BT pretty well and they might even be good for objective capping.

Anything I'm overlooking or should be considering? Cool stratagems or rules synergies I should know about?

What about dominions to load up on plenty of storm bolters. They also can have 1 additional movement before the game starts.they have a strat that gives them - 2 AP and 2 D which will shred Marines. Edited by Maschinenpriester

'Priester took the post right outta my fingers; Dominions with the blessed bolt strat are very nice.

Retributors are also pretty slick with the buffs to heavy bolters and multimultas.

Seraphim with Inferno Pistols and the Deadly Descent strat- they drop and shoot in the movement phase with a 12" range on their Inferno pistols. Alternately, you can equip them with hand flamers, and they would shoot once in the movement phase and again in the shooting phase (technically, the inferno build does this too, but you only get the extra range of the first shot).

Retributors are really damn good in 9th and give you some firepower for sure.

Exorcists are also awesome!

Whatever you take, an imigifier is a must for the buffs they provide. If you combine with the right Order you can ignore AP-2 which makes them very good at sitting on objectives.

If it's only a very small detachment the imagifier probably doesn't justify it's cost in points and CP to be worth it.

I disagree, it keeps those bodies practically immune to small arms in cover!

If your goal is objective camping, might I also suggest taking some units that are set up to perform actions without having to sacrifice shooting or auras.

Suggested starter list... builds well into just about anything sisters related.

HQ

Canoness

TROOPS

10 Battle Sisters

10 Battle Sisters

ELITE

1 Preacher

1 Repentia Superior *

4 Repentia

2 Crusaders * / **

2 Crusaders * / **

2 Crusaders * / **

FAST ATTACK

5 Dominions

5 Saraphim

HEAVY SUPPORT

5 Retributors

1 Exorcist

50 Power

* Doesn't take up a slot.

** Could be run as 1 squad of 6 for a bodyguard unit if preferred.

Crusaders are great for performing actions because you don't have to give up the unit's shooting to do the action.

Also while you are likely to expand all of the other units, you will likely never need more than those 6 Crusaders.

Finally, with the Crusaders you will be on your 4th drop before your opponent sees anything that they might perceive as valuable in your list.
