Seems reasonable and it was exactly how I would have done normally, but this time I wanted to try to paint reflection, just for once, to improve my painting skills

Try to decide which material that masks should be and look for a tutorial.

Maybe look at some Airbrush artists.

Those look like they're more than that, though. Seems to be a blend to grey at the bottom with white highlight, then glossed over.

Filkarion, start with an abaddon black base then multiple thin glazes of increasingly lighter greys to the bottom, with a final line of an off white.

Basically, look for a tutorial for eye lenses, then replicate that across the whole blank mask.

You might be able to get similar with a grey seer basecoat and multiple glazes of 50:50 black templar:medium.

For a good finish don't forget to make sure you use thin coats - the smoother the better :) As noted it's straight forward enough as the gloss is what gives the reflective look part so you can do what you like underneath as to colours :tu: As an example I did a silver for my Daemon Prince:

(unfortunately I don't seem to have any better pictures)

Are you trying to paint a reflection of a particular object or just light?

I've recently been working on painting glossy black parent leather/pvc finish and I sort of sketched in with darkish greys - washing and skavenblight dinge in the bits I wanted darker with an off- white (pallid Wych flesh) for the bits I wanted bright and then mixed and played around with it until was broadly happy then I went over with nuln oil gloss and finally picked out my off-white highlights again and added a few bright white spots to finish. Something like that might work here?
