Finally able to put together a crusade roster after many years of living vicariously through the exploits of others on the boards. Most of the meat and potatoes being done (prior to the new Dex), so now it’s on to the characters elites and other fun stuff

I'm not a fan of Death Guard (or Nurgle-aligned models in general) but despite this, I cannot deny that your colour scheme is effective and looks really good. :tu:

It’s mainly a mix of ink washes and then oil washes over the top of that.

The goal was to get a paint scheme/method where I can bang out a squad or a tank in an evening and it just about does it.

 

Eventually I plan to come back to each squad/model and add more highlights to make the detail pop a bit more, but until then they are good enough for the table

But first the initial batch of 5x Blight Lords

.. I will say the new blight lord termis have lots of detail but are not my cup of wildsnake in some cases. The fat guy bellies and chain mail ones are definitely not going into my squads and I expect I’ll be getting some cataphracti terminators for the 2nd squad

.. The axes are pretty metal though
