techsoldaten Posted January 28, 2021 Share Posted January 28, 2021 Anyone using rules from Vigilus Ablaze in 9th? I vaguely remember some pronouncement about them not being legal for tournaments. But I was thinking about how useful the detachments and Stratagems could be with the new morale rules and emphasis on grabbing points. - Bringers of Despair could force morale checks at twice the attrition rate. - World Killers could really screw with objective grabbing, allowing a raptors / bikers / spawn to steal objectives as long as they can get within 3 inches. - Merciless Fighters would be a great way to deal with fighting second, the extra attack accounts for ones you might have lost after the charge. undivided_apostle Posted January 28, 2021 Share Posted January 28, 2021 In chapter approved they state that you cannot use specialist detachments and understrength units in matched play. So no soul forged pack or bringers of despair. So world killers and merciless fighters are valid but bringers of despair is not as its predicated on a specialist detachment.
