tangoalphatwo
Scale is important to me. Probably why I’m a huge fan of the primaris and new Death Guard. I think they really give that transhuman supermen thing a nice feel. So, I have the old forge world Death Guard sorcerer from like 15 years ago and obviously his scale is off. So I’m debating what to do. I’ve found that adding plasticard to his feet and throw him on a 32mm base, he almost approaches the height of a modern Plague Marine. But is he just a bit thin? My other thought is make him a corrupted inquisitor and throw him on a 25mm base (they’re a little shorter btw.) ditch the power pack and green stuf a fur top to his cape amd use him in some inquisimunda? I don’t know what to do? Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368779-forge-world-death-guard-sorcerer/ Share on other sites
lansalt
Since is an original named OOP model I would not customize him in any way. It's a small piece of 40K history and still has rules in Legends (Necrosius the Undying) Just put it in a 32mm base (or even 40mm like other modern DG characters) with a bit of padding to make him taller. Add the original banner if you still have it to make him bulkier. Tokugawa
Buy some 3D-printed Nurgle style icon bits, glue to his back, and make him look taller. tangoalphatwo
Oh. I have the banner. Was thinking about using it for some traitor guard. His height isn’t what I think looks off. It’s his girth. I dunno. We will see. I think I might just go ahead and make him a Death Guard sorcerer. Wish me luck! MegaVolt87
Get a sliver of bark for him to stand on as a rock, also characters look better on 40mm bases. tangoalphatwo 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368779-forge-world-death-guard-sorcerer/#findComment-5661348 Share on other sites
Marshal Loss
32mm base gets my vote. Could just say he's a "False Astartes" tolerated by the Death Guard for his psychic abilities? Would make sense them for him not to possess the bulk of his brothers. Mutations doesn't have to be uniform at all and not everything needs to be bloated in the same way. Maybe you can make him slightly taller as you have done, but absolutely no need for extra bloat. tangoalphatwo 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368779-forge-world-death-guard-sorcerer/#findComment-5661371 Share on other sites
