Angels of Redemption - Redwings (?)

A question about the Angels of Redemption and their version of the Deathwing and Ravenwing.

 

Their respective 1st and 2nd companies are called "Redwings". I wonder how those look like - I could not find any pictorial reference so far. Are they actually painted red? Has anyone done that and would like to share?

 

What is your opinion on this matter?

I would try to incorporate red into the scheme. Being that they’re a halved scheme chapter , for the DW you could do a red and bone scheme and for RW you could do a green and red scheme.

 

Additionally you could go with a simple change with just red arms and heads, maybe on red bikes instead of halved bikes. Just spit balling ideas

I actually had a Ravenwing army of these guys. This was before the redwing lore. Knowing the redwing lore made me go and sell the army. I know this doesn't answer your question but if they are called the redwing then I would have assumed that like the Ravenwing they would be painted a solid red color and not the normal chapter colors.

I have a vague memory of them having the normal chapter color but with red ( if I remember correctly) left shoulderpad.

See, I'm thinking along similar lines, and I think it would add a striking visual element to mixed-wings AoR forces. Both 1st and 2nd company units in all red, preferably some dark tone... yeah, that could work well.

 

Not sure if I'll actually ever get around doing it, but this is the way I'd do it.

I did not know this lore. It surprises me because I thought the whole point of Angels of Redemption was to allow you a unified colour scheme across terminators and bikes and other companies. You already have 2 colours. I might do robes red on the redwing models but keep armour halved bone/green.

I would keep to the same colours have literally have the original legions badge that was a red winged sword so “red wings”... although with this kind of thing it’s entirely your choice to get creative

My angels of redemption already have the chestwings coloured red. Bikes and terminators have the split scheme. What I can do is repaint the chest pieces of everyone else... Repainting all those termites and bikes is out of the question!

I'm going split green white marine with red bikes. There's already an official depiction of Terminators for Angels of Redemption.
