Storm Speeders worth it with Jink?

Storm Speeders are outclassed both by regular speeders (no bracket) and ATV's (plain powerful).

 

Do we think they *might* be worth it now that they get perma-jink? 

 

That BS 2+ laughs at the -1 to hit when advancing and enjoys 4+ jink T1.

i think they're worth it if we follow what I call the "predator tank" concept haha: They're best when taken in pairs. 

 

I am quite interested in running two. 1 is not good enough. 3 is too much.

I’m going to try one hammer strike for the Melta. It’s accompanying two Redemptors so may not be exactly following the pair rule but hopefully will ride the coat tails of the dreads.

Weird things is that the melta version's BE is 3+

I think only the thunder strike variant has a 2+ in BS. Which is odd but I guess it’s the anti aircraft variant.

IMHO storm speeders suffer two things

The 10th wound makes them suffer the decay of stats as they lose wounds

They have the too many weapons syndrome of many primaris veichles

 

IMHO regular LS or RW exclusive LSV are better than Storm Speeders

I think they will be worth it.  I've got 2 on pre-order.  I'm planning to building a thunderstrike and a hammerstrike, but I might try to see about making them so they can swap loadouts.

Exactly, the thunderstrike has +1 to hit built into it to counter the hard to hit rule for flyers.  But was done in such a way that makes the very few shots it has good verses ground targets as well.
