Bjorn Firewalker
[*]Cut all the shield pieces from a single acrylic or clear styrene sphere. This will make it look like the void shield is a unified sphere around the Titan. They make covers for security cameras that might be used for this. [*]A matter of taste, but perhaps leaving more transparency towards the edges of the shield bits, so it looks a bit more like the impact at the center is lessened towards the edges. [*]Again a matter of taste, but it would be interesting to make the "impacts" look more like they're coming from one direction. Excellent ideas! Tichinde
The Warlord is excellent. The Void Shield modelling is an amazing idea, and you've done great work considering how hard it is to effectively pull off. Things that might help for the next iteration: Cut all the shield pieces from a single acrylic or clear styrene sphere. This will make it look like the void shield is a unified sphere around the Titan. They make covers for security cameras that might be used for this. A matter of taste, but perhaps leaving more transparency towards the edges of the shield bits, so it looks a bit more like the impact at the center is lessened towards the edges. Again a matter of taste, but it would be interesting to make the "impacts" look more like they're coming from one direction. Intended an constructive input, and not meant to take away from this incredible mini. yup, totally agree on all these points. part of the issue was the size of the sphere I used. I need to try a larger one or as you suggest something with a slight curve but still light enough to be supported by the magnets (maybe thinner material) the undercoat was also too heavy resulting in the shield coming out not as transparent as I hoped. plenty of scope to improve on it though! Tichinde
After a lot of experimenting, finally have a head for my Warmaster: and decided to reposition the second set of missile launchers: aquired some more weapon options: and also have the bigger spheres for "Void Shields 2.0" :-) Edited June 22, 2021 by Tichinde LameBeard 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368879-tichs-teeny-tiny-titans-of-tizca/page/3/#findComment-5713426 Share on other sites
Tichinde
quick update, got the big guy done: and slowly working through the weapon options: the rockets worked just as well as they did on the Reaver but I still need to do the exhaust blast in such a way as it wont interfere with the rear armour panel due to the repositioned launchers.... completed 2 warhounds with pics to follow and slowly progressing on the second warlord. Trokair, General Zodd, Noserenda and 8 others 10 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368879-tichs-teeny-tiny-titans-of-tizca/page/3/#findComment-5872478 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
Very nice indeed tichinde! I look forward to seeing the Warhounds too, particularly if they look that good. I really like the work on the launchers - the missiles are great and the smoke and flame is very well done. How did you do the banner? Is that a print out? Tichinde
hey thanks, The Banners are just printed out (usually after much copying and pasting in word/paint), superglued then I usually paint the back black and seal them with the "brush on" GW varnish. Tichinde
even though fluff wise, my chosen legio don't really use warhounds, I fancied using them in a game so found some 3rd party bits to fit in with the overall theme: I thought about adding transfers to the heads but one of the guys in my Titanicus group reckoned they look more menacing without them! heads are from Adeptus Dad (Adeptus Dad (adeptus-dad.github.io)) but I just used the .stl file as I know someone with a decenet 3D printer, and the bodies from Battle Bling LameBeard, stretch_135, malika666 and 7 others 9 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368879-tichs-teeny-tiny-titans-of-tizca/page/3/#findComment-5872609 Share on other sites

schoon
The Transfer and banner work on the Warmaster is excellent. And the alternate heads on the Warhounds are wonderful. Very characterful! Tichinde
got round to doing some Knights: and started work on a Chaos Titan (something I had an idea for and wanted to try): his base is just about done: and here you can see the general idea: its mostly Disco lord, Hellbrute and various other chaos parts. I'll get better photos soon, my usual photo setup is out of action so I had to use my phone. stretch_135, Interrogator Stobz, tinpact and 6 others 5 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/368879-tichs-teeny-tiny-titans-of-tizca/page/3/#findComment-5911357 Share on other sites

Lord_Borak
Damn, this thread is full of awesome. Really like the head on the Warmaster and the paint job is top notch. The ice base on the Warlord is very very cool as well. Mandragola
Wonderful work on the corrupted Warlord. Corrupted titans are high up on my own "maybe one day" to do list.
