Redrandy93
Brothers I am looking for where i can get the SM pistol in a holster in large numbers. I use them for sargants and heavy weapons figures. I know only one comes in the Tactical squad set. Is there any other set that has a similiar holster/pistol but in a large number.. I checked out Shapeways but the set they had for sale looked too big on a first gen SM. I checked ebay also. Any help is appreciated. Admin if this is in wrong place please move it to the correct section. Oxydo
On top of my head: the regular intercessor kit has 10 with a pistol and 2 that are empty and the plastic MKIV has 6 and 1(I think). You can see almost every sprue on GW's homepage so that's a useful place to start hunting for certain parts, provided you have an idea of which units might have them. Ryltar Thamior
The plastic Mk.III box also has at least a half-dozen of them. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369018-looking-for-sm-pistols-in-holster/#findComment-5666554 Share on other sites
Gederas
The Mark III and Mark IV kits both have 6 holstered pistols with one empty holster each. Intercessors kit comes with 10 holstered pistols, as does the Hellblaster kit. Ramell
Assault intercessors have a tonne. Reivers kit comes with loads too. Assault Intercessors only have one holstered pistol for every five models, and five empty holsters. Redrandy93
Brothers thanks for help. After posting this topic I found on ebay someone selling what I was looking for so I bought 18 pieces. If I see the Hellblaster or Intercessors ones offered I will probably get them. Need to have enough for a SM company (40 pieces). I appreciate the help!. Ryltar Thamior
It might or might not make much of a difference, but the Primaris-sized holsters are larger and deeper than the regular Marine ones. Which makes sense , given that the bolt pistols in question are *also* slightly sized up. It's a few mm in length, and the addition in terms of depth is largely because unlike, say, the Mk.III holsters (if memory serves - it's definitely the case on the Ravenwing command equivalents) , there's no concave "pretend this doesn't exist so it fits flush with the thighplate" going on. [there's hollowing out, yes, but it's done in quite a different manner that doesn't impact the actual dimensions].So it might not actually matter and/or be visually noticeable to you. Mandragola
Primaris also use a very different design of pistol. The mag is a lot smaller, meaning that the thing could conceivably fit into a holster. The holster is still a bit smaller than the pistol but it’s not quite as crazy. Dracos
Those Bladeguard holsters are just too big. They look about right for the Volkite pistol but not the Heavy Bolt Pistol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369018-looking-for-sm-pistols-in-holster/#findComment-5668194 Share on other sites

The mag is a lot smaller, meaning that the thing could conceivably fit into a holster. The holster is still a bit smaller than the pistol but it’s not quite as crazy. you're correct about that - although as applies the longer area between barrel and mag, it's kinda like the old phobos bolt pistol pattern you see in the Mk.III kit ; 1d4chan posits that it's an intentional thing in both cases to have an area to grip to stabilize firing. The overall shape of the primaris sized bolt pistol reminded me of some of the *other* old-school bolt pistols in holsters [you see them also in the Ravenwing Command box] - wherein the mag's evidently separate from the holstered pistol , so a more rectangular design is possible. Now, in the case of the Primaris pistols, that's obviously because a much more streamlined design is a thing, with the mag largely internal to the weapon; but they do wind up looking like bigger un-magged phobos holsters Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369018-looking-for-sm-pistols-in-holster/#findComment-5668235 Share on other sites
