Brother Kraskor
Been thinking about a BT list where the only dakka is pistols and whatever the Dreadnoughts carry with them. Super-aggressive, full assault list. Primaris Captain - 105pts- Sword & Board- Burning Blade- Warlord (Imperium's Sword) Primaris Chaplain - 110pts- Master of Sanctity - Relics of the Chapter (Ancient Breviary)- Divine Protection, Fires of Devotion Primaris Techmarine - 100pts- Master of the Forge- Hero of the Chapter (Warden of the Ancients) 10 Assault Intercessors - 205pts- Power Fist & Plasma Pistol 10 Assault Intercessors - 205pts- Power Fist & Plasma Pistol 10 Assault Intercessors - 205pts- Power Fist & Plasma Pistol Primaris Apothecary - 95pts- Chief Apothecary- Hero of the Chapter (Selfless Healer) 10 Assault Terminators - 430pts- TH & SS Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts- Macro Plasma Incinerator- Onslaught Gatling Cannon- Storm Bolters Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts- Macro Plasma Incinerator- Onslaught Gatling Cannon- Storm Bolters Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts- Macro Plasma Incinerator- Onslaught Gatling Cannon- Storm Bolters 1995pts, 9 CP Plenty of healing from Techmarine and Apothecary. Dreads should also hit like a ton of bricks with Techmarine WL trait. Terminators should be super survivable with 5+++ and Chief Apothecary bringing one back to full wounds and reviving another each turn. Brother Kraskor
Revised to include Helbrecht for a big buff to the 30 Intercessors all being at S5, and also provides some backfield objective-holders at loss of Terminators and supporting characters. Also all characters are now beatsticks. High Marshal Helbrecht - 155pts - Warlord Chaplain in Terminator Armour - 125pts - Master of Sanctity - Combi-Melta - Benediction of Fury - Hero of the Chapter (Wise Orator) - Canticle of Hate, Mantra of Strength The Emperor's Champion - 80pts 10 Assault Intercessors - 195pts - Power Sword 10 Assault Intercessors - 195pts - Power Sword 10 Assault Intercessors - 195pts - Power Sword 5 Intercessors - 100pts - Bolt Rifles - Chainsword 5 Intercessors - 100pts - Bolt Rifles - Chainsword 5 Intercessors - 100pts - Bolt Rifles - Chainsword Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts - Macro Plasma Incinerator - Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Storm Bolters Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts - Macro Plasma Incinerator - Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Storm Bolters Redemptor Dreadnought - 180pts - Macro Plasma Incinerator - Onslaught Gatling Cannon, Storm Bolters 5 Assault Terminators - 215pts - Thunder Hammers & Shields 2000pts, 11CP Basically a Black Tide of S5 obsec marines, backed up by three Redemptors for AT duties. Regular Intercessors hold backfield. Chaplain & Terminators deep-strike and make reliable charge with Canticle of Hate via Commanding Oratory strat (7" re-rollable). Plan is not to use Fury of the First so that the target hopefully lives (just), can then use Tenacious Assault to lock in combat. Chaplain is also a beatstick in his own right with Mantra of Strength on top of his relic (S7, four attacks base, D4!). Tokugawa
Never a fan of teleported chaplain. He arrived turn2, but you would thirst for his buff since very beginning of turn1. Brother Kraskor
Do you think it would be better to run a Bike Chaplain? Trouble is then he would need to be out in the open ready for the Terminators to arrive in order to buff them. This way he's safe? Brother Kraskor
Been thinking a lot and come up with something a bit more finesse, but hopefully tricky. Reasoning explained below: Primaris Captain (105) - Sword & Board, Warlord (Epitome of Piety), Aurillian Shroud Terminator Chaplain (100) - Combi-Melta, Canticle of Hate Primaris Chaplain on Bike (140) - Master of Sanctity, Hero of the Chapter (Fear Made Manifest), Ancient Breviary, Litany of Divine Protection & Vow of Retribution 5 Intercessors (110) - Bolt Rifles, Power Fist 5 Intercessors (110) - Bolt Rifles, Power Fist 10 Heavy Intercessors (300) - Executor Bolt Rifles, 2 Heavy Executor Bolters 5 Assault Intercessors (115) - Thunder Hammer 5 Assault Intercessors (115) - Thunder Hammer 5 Assault Intercessors (115) - Thunder Hammer Redemptor Dreadnought (185) - Macro Plasma, Onslaught Gatling, Storm Bolters, Rocket Pod Redemptor Dreadnought (185) - Macro Plasma, Onslaught Gatling, Storm Bolters, Rocket Pod 5 Reivers (100) - Bolt Carbines, Grav Chutes 5 Reivers (100) - Bolt Carbines, Grav Chutes 5 Assault Terminators (215) - Thunder Hammers & Storm Shields 1995pts, 10CP remaining Regular Intercessors hold backfield. Heavy Intercessors will move and seize the centre. They should be tough to shift with a turn 1 4++, and 5+++ from the Chaplain, and Transhuman. And a lot of quite nasty dakka. Captain will support for re-rolls and counter-charge, and they will be backed up by the two Redemptors. Assault Intercessors positioned as counter-attack units should the opponent come for the Gravis, otherwise they will be bully units. The Fear Trap will come down turn 2. Terminator Chaplain drops Canticle of Hate, and Reivers and Assault Terminators (who will do their own thing) deep strike. Bike Chaplain turbo-boosts into position having popped Vow of Retribution. Provided the Reivers reach & survive combat (and they should reach with the 7" re-rollable charge), morale tests will be at a whopping -5, and attrition on 2s. The Reivers can then also turn off Obsec as required. The Bike Chaplain can subsequently. get close to either Reiver squad and keep the Fear Trap going. Well with Nurgle's rot it might take a while to report back!
