Hey guys, quick question,

I've been cooking up a small Orbital Assault list for my Iron Warriors (Golg for them deepstriking Terminator Troops) and I have a couple of units of Cataphractii armoured Terminators. Now, I have a bunch (and I mean a huge bunch) of Thunderhammers lying around and I really love their design, so I've been thinking about slapping them on my Terminators instead of the usual powerfists. My question is: is there any reason not to do this apart from the points cost? I don't have any power-gamers in my group and we all play more with theme and aesthetics in mind so not being 100% economical with your points is neither here nor there. Am I overlooking anything else apart from the points cost difference?

Concussive is the anti-monsterous creature/IC mechanic with anti-armor being primarily chain-fists. So if you routinely go after some gnarly monsters (Mechanicum being the primary offender), they're pretty great with the bonus of being able to potentially concuss anything that would normally survive a thunderhammer hit. Compared to Fists, it's really about point costs more than anything. Fist work in the same field for slightly less points so their trade off is no special rules or benefits.

If it's about looks, hammertime is always a good time.
