Looking for help (read: cheat sheet/formulas) calculating Armourbane and Cluster Warhead for the Xiphon.

Aka being able to calculate 5x Melta guns vs AV14 vs 5x Melta bombs, etc...

Thanks!

It's 58% to pen off a melta in short range, so 38% for a melta to hit and pen and 12% for a shot to cause an explodes result. 5 meltas would be 1.94 pens and 0.63 explodes.

Now, xiphons don't get armourbane. The average roll on a d3 is a 2, so you'd average 2 rolls on the damage table, giving you a 34% chance to cause an explode. But you need to pen first.

Thanks...I was more of looking for help with the formulas for calculating things like Armorbane or Cluster Warhead.

I couldn't tell you the formula, but this site has the percentage chance for numbers on 2d6m

Choose the AV value you want to beat and add the percentages up.

As for cluster warhead, there's no real calculation or formula. Average roll on a d6 is 3.5, which translates into a 2 for a d3. Just multiply that by the chance of your intended result like explodes (2x0.17) or immobilized (2x0.33).
