I got the Start Collecting! Orks box after getting Dark Imperium and a Warmachine boxset, everything was going good with building my Boyz and Nobz, then I tried to move onto the dread. Well, disaster struck and I missed a step and accidently glued the parts together before another part. In my utter stupidity, I tried to cut some bits off to make the legs fit, but no dice. I'm wondering if there's a way I can break down the dread by making the gorilla glue come off or if there's a kitbash method to use the bitz n gubbinz that are unharmed?

The chassis is glued together and I cut some of the plastic off, but if I could somehow get the glue off then maybe I could reuse it, or just buy a new dread or perhaps use the saws and Kustom Mega Blasta to kitbash something?

With some photos I could provide better advice. For now, all I can say is, there's no such thing as a truly permanent bond; Something WILL give, if you pry hard enough. Also, try plastic glue next time.

I heard putting it in the freeze for hours works, but I'm not sure. Also, what about the parts? Any kitbash ideas? Can you take a deff dread KMB and put it on a loota or perhaps a Flash Git?

Orks are always fans of an improvised cut-and-shut job... No need to build it exactly to spec from the instructions, indeed have you considered a Deff Dred with a walking stick for giggles? Bonus point for 'gertcha 'andz orf my squigz!' written somewhere on the chassis...

Pictures would be helpful though.

Pawl's guide for striping paint has some bit about how it affects glue. linked from here:

....in stripping models that have both metal and plastic it says that IPA will weaken superglue - not tried it but possibly another choice and one that will hopefully not leave a lot or hard to remove residue.

Ive heard you can put things superglued into the freezer to make the glue very brittle and then it will snap apart again.

Plastic glue forms the best bond for plastic as it melts the plastic and then when the two parts are joined and reharden they form a continuous piece with no real join.
